Leinster have been dealt a major blow ahead of their Investec Champions Cup Round of 16 clash with Edinburgh Rugby, with RG Snyman ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a ruptured ACL.
Snyman has previously suffered an ACL injury during his time at Munster, adding further frustration to his latest setback.
Head coach Leo Cullen confirmed the update ahead of Sunday’s knockout tie, with Andrew Porter available for selection after coming through the win over Scarlets, while a number of key players including James Ryan, Tadhg Furlong, Jimmy O’Brien and Garry Ringrose are set to be assessed later in the week.
There were no further updates provided on Jack Boyle, Hugh Cooney, Jordan Larmour, James Lowe, Diarmuid Mangan or Paddy McCarthy, with Leinster set to finalise their squad later in the week ahead of the Aviva Stadium clash.
