Munster Rugby have today confirmed plans to seek GAA approval to host an Investec Champions Cup pool game at Páirc Uí Chaoimh next season, if they qualify.

Páirc Uí Chaoimh hosted its first rugby match on 10 November 2022, with a record Munster crowd of 41,400 in attendance as Munster defeated a touring South Africa A side 28–14.

Earlier this season, Munster brought Champions Cup rugby to Páirc Uí Chaoimh for the first time, with 36,208 in attendance as Clayton McMillan’s side secured a bonus point win over Gloucester, a record crowd for a Champions Cup fixture in the province.
