Leinster and South Africa lock RG Snyman looks set to miss the remainder of the season after suffering a suspected ACL injury. Reports suggest the Leinster Rugby second row is not expected to return before the end of the campaign.

When asked directly if Snyman’s season was over, head coach Leo Cullen responded simply: “Yeah.”

The 29-year-old has endured a difficult run with injuries in recent years, and this latest setback represents another major blow at a crucial stage of the season.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the campaign, it also raises the possibility that Snyman may have already played his final game for Leinster.

Cullen may now look to the likes of Joe McCarthy and James Ryan to step up in the second row.
